I bought myself a present. Yay.

Ohhh! Shiny! I've got a new book.

Terry Pratchett's latest offering Night Watch. I freely admit to being a dreadful Pratchett geek/bore/worshipper. And I haven't had a Pratchett to read for a year. I'm all bouncy.

It's all new book crisp and smelling (oh, the new book smell should have been on my list of favourite smells).

I used to buy books all the time but since I've been short of money I've avoided book shops and it's *so* nice to indulge. Perhaps even if I had a lot of money I should reduce the number of books I buy and get to enjoy this new-book thrill more. Nah. Screw that. If I had loads of money I'd buy a whole damned library.

So now I'm going the abandon 'The Innocence of Father Brown' in favour of this. I was reading that on my PDA with Microsoft Reader, which besides the pants factor of having to give Microsoft my email address, is pretty cool. Especially since I can get free downloads of out of copyright books from places like this. The aforementioned is quite a good bus read as it's a series of short stories. I highly recommend go getting it.

So tonight will consist of, a bath and the start of my new book, an episode of Buffy, then red wine and more book. Maybe I'll eat too. But that would involve cooking and that uses up valuable reading time.

Oh, the other half is going to hate this.
